1. Introduction

1.1 Sunlight Marketing (Sports) Sdn. Bhd. (152026-W) (hereinafter referred to as "Sportsclick", “Sportsclick Malaysia”, "we", "us" or "our") operates Sportsclick Malaysia, the website sportsclick.my and our Sportsclick stores. We are the data controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
1.2 This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect your personal data when you visit our website, shop with us online or in store, contact us, or take part in our promotions. It is issued in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").
1.3 By using our website or services, or by providing your personal data to us, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of your personal data as described in it.

2. Personal Data We Collect

2.1 Personal data is any personal information from which an individual would be identifiable. It includes information such as name, date of birth, email address, telephone number, NRIC, address, credit card information, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”).

2.2 Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following personal data:
•    Identity and contact data: your name, email address, phone number and date of birth.
•    Delivery data: your delivery address and other delivery-related information you provide when placing an order.
•    Order and transaction data: products purchased, order numbers, purchase history, returns and exchanges.
•    Payment data: payment method and transaction references. Card payments are processed by our payment processors; we do not store your full card details.
•    Account data: your login credentials, saved preferences (such as language and currency) and wishlist.
•    Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you use our website.
•    Marketing and engagement data: your marketing preferences and your responses to surveys, competitions and promotions.
2.2 Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the data we need to process your order, we may be unable to complete your purchase or provide our services.

4.1 Processing and delivering your orders. We collect and use the delivery address and other delivery-related information you provide when placing an order. We use it to process your purchases, arrange shipping and delivery, determine suitable delivery options, and provide customer support relating to your orders.
4.2 Order notifications. When you place an order, we will send order confirmations with your details, status updates and other transactional communications to the email address or phone number (via SMS or WhatsApp) provided at checkout or associated with your account. These messages are necessary to fulfil your order and are not marketing. You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details you provide are accurate and secure.
4.3 Identifying you as our member. We collect your email address for the purpose of issuing points or store credit when you sign up as our member which allows you to benefit from the membership program
4.4 Website improvement and personalisation. To operate, maintain and improve our website and services, personalise your browsing experience, remember your preferences (such as language and currency), and provide relevant information about our products and services.
4.5 Surveys and promotions. To conduct surveys, organise competitions, administer promotional campaigns and carry out other marketing activities.
4.6 Market research. To conduct market research or surveys, marketing analysis, customer profiling activities, statistical and trend analysis in relation to our products and services.
4.7 After sales service. To enable us to contact you in the event of any defective components or to offer you our workshop services or in the event of product recalls or the about the functionality changes to our website. 
4.8 Marketing communications. We may send you marketing communications about our products, new arrivals, promotions, special offers and other updates via email, SMS, WhatsApp or other channels. We do so where you have subscribed to receive them or where otherwise permitted by applicable laws. You may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our communications, where available, or by contacting our customer service team. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect the service messages described in Section 4.2.
4.9 Security, fraud prevention and legal compliance. To protect our rights, property and safety, and those of our customers and other parties. We may process your personal data to detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised activities, misuse of our website, or violations of our terms and policies. We may also use your personal data to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders and lawful requests from government authorities.

5.1 Once we receive your personal data, we implement reasonable security measures and procedures designed to protect it against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.
5.2 If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and affected individuals where required by law.
5.3 Keeping your order details secure. Please keep your account credentials, order numbers, order confirmations and purchase history confidential. If you share them publicly or with unverified parties (for example on social media, in product reviews, on third-party platforms or with unknown contacts), we cannot control how others collect, use or share that information. We are not responsible for loss or misuse resulting from such disclosure, or from a failure to secure your own email, phone or messaging accounts, except where it is caused by our own failure to protect your personal data. Sportsclick will never ask for your password or one-time PIN (OTP), or ask you to make payment outside our official checkout. 
5.4 No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to our website.

6. How We Share Your Personal Data

We may share your personal data with the following parties where necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to applicable laws.

11.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website with its effective date. Your continuous use of our website and acceptance of our services after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your consent to any such changes.
11.2 This Privacy Policy is issued in English and Bahasa Malaysia. If there is any inconsistency between the two versions, the English version will prevail.
